Overview
A virtual live show, SHINee's screening event unites fans as one at Seibu Shinjuku PePe Plaza
April 18th (Wed.) at 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm, We were held a special screening and live streaming featuring live footage of SHINee.
With the event marking their best hits album release, fans prepared with SHINee goods and carrying Tower Record bags from the nearby store gathered as the screening time drew near.
Their numbers steadily grew, and quickly packed the reserved viewing area at Seibu Shinjuku PePe Plaza.
As the screening event kicked off with the first track "Everybody", fans were ready to have fun, each enjoying the experience in their own way. Some captured the Vision screen on their smartphones, some were dancing to the rhythm, and some were chatting excitedly with friends. As on-screen SHINee members called out to the audience or hit cool dance moves, cheers arose from the fans at the screening, transforming the plaza into a virtual live venue.
Surprised by the excited sounds, passersby could be seen looking up at the Vision screen, even commenting "Wow, SHINee's got it."
While excitement still filled the air, the 17:00 screening came to a close.
But, even after the event was over, many fans remained at PePe Plaza and joined in with the second screening from 19:00.
It was growing dark by the 19:00 event, changing the cityscape. Perhaps the different atmosphere prompted comments on Twitter, such as "Went to both screenings, and both were amazing", "I want to sear the visions of SHINee that can only be witnessed here in Shinjuku."
The screening event ended in success. Some fans who had enjoyed all 11 songs were moved to tears by the performance footage, and some even left comments to the staff, thanking them, "The sense of presence was amazing, and I really enjoy it." The event seemed to prove the powerful impact of SHINee's performance.
Other SHINee-related events were also held on the same day, including the special "SHINee color" light-up of 5 major city towers; Tokyo Tower, Sapporo TV Tower, Nagoya TV Tower, Kobe Port Tower, and Fukuoka Tower. Similarly bringing excitement, fans in front of Yunika Vision were also sharing their experience with other fans, making the day a special one that brought SHINee and their fans closer together.
Also, SHINee's first release that day of their first best hits album ranked top on iTunes in 15 countries including Japan, and Oricon's daily album chart, kicking off to a great start.
