Diverse fans gather and turn the special TVXQ! screening into a space of pure joy!
March 28th (Wed.) at 4:00 pm 6:00 pm, We were held a special screening featuring live footage of TVXQ.
That was a headphone-viewing event to watch the screening in high quality sound and enjoy live streaming of the event.
Despite the fact that the screening didn't start until 16:00, fans started gathering at SEIBU SHINJUKU PePe Front Square just after 15:00 on the day of the event, and the 100 available rental headphones had already run out by the time the screening started. Even then, people continued to come!
When the screening started with the first song "Reboot", a symbol of the pair's 2017 restart, the gathered fans began enjoying the show each in their own way.
You could hear people singing along with the concert footage throughout PePe Font Square, and applause filled the air after each song. Some people danced to the rhythm, and many in the audience screamed whenever Yun Ho fired up the concert fans or Chang Min winked.
With spring break here, many parents brought their children along, and they brought a smile to the whole crowd. Surrounding fans looked on happily as elementary school girls jumped and shouted "HEY!" along with the songs.
Once the 16:00 show was over, another huge group of fans filled SEIBU SHINJUKU PePe Front Square for the 18:00 show.
The 16:00 show saw a fair number of older women in the audience, and the 18:00 show had a lot of younger women and men in suits on their way home from work, showing just how wide TVXQ!'s appeal really is.
As people walking down the road saw the fans gathered and looked up to see what was going on, we heard more quite a few comments like "TVXQ! really are popular!"
YUNIKA VISION has broadcast TVXQ! special shows many times before, and after this screening the staff gathering headphones were told things like "Thank you for showing TVXQ! so much! Please do it again!" That, and the sight of so many satisfied faces going home, left a lasting impression on us all.
